Tech Lead (Programmable Network) - Senior Backend Developer at Truphone

Truphone is one of the world's leading innovators in eSIM, cloud and digital solutions. The company has built state-of-the-art SIM software, intuitive management platforms, in-network call recording, and a powerful global mobile network since 2006. Truphone is looking for a talented Tech Lead to join their Programmable Network team. The role requires creativity, technical knowledge, decision making, as well as strategic vision. The Tech Lead will work in conjunction with the team, engineering managers and stakeholders to produce technical solutions that are fit-to-purpose and scalable. The role and team will be located in Lisbon with a hybrid & flexible work model. Responsibilities: - Iterate with the customers (internal and external) and other stakeholders to determine the technical requirements and recommend tech solutions - Establish and maintain high quality engineering standards, driving customer-centric, global scale architecture and implementation within the team - Design and present solutions and identify the impacts, efforts and needed resources - Interprets internal or external business issues and promote best practices for a high-scale web (or mobile) environment - Keeps the other engineers engaged with the technologies we're working with and evolve the engineering maturity to be on par with the non-functional and functional state-of-the-art - Work towards alignment and overall continuous improvement across the company - Lead the team by example, acting as a mentor in the engineering craft - Participate in recruitment activities to engage and select candidates matching our criteria
