We deliver Raving Fan Service by helping clients challenge their media objectives and realize their business ambitions. Powered by best-in-class research and planning tools, SMS works in partnership with our sales team to tailor our tech enabled services approach to drive better outcomes and media campaigns. This position will be responsible for developing and monitoring media plans. This role will be responsible for managing media fundamentals education while stewarding media execution for a suite of Basis clients.WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTELeveraging a strong understanding of the digital media landscape and the latest Basis products and solutions to craft strong media planning recommendations tied to the overarching strategyDelivering integrated media plans considering all media channels based on clear rationaleMaintaining a understanding of all syndicated media tools and how they can contribute to the planning task at handCollaborating with analytics team to ensure media strategies and reporting insights/deliverables are aligned to business objectives and measures of successNegotiating with vendors to secure the best inventory and pricing available for our clientsProviding guidance and assist in shaping Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for strategic media plansCultivating strong internal relationships with associate media planners, ad operations, campaign analytics, and search and social media planners.Operating with a solutions-oriented approach and a high degree of client servicingContributing to high levels of campaign performance, client satisfaction, and retention, while working alongside the VP and Director of Integrated Client Solutions and Client Development team membersManaging insertion orders (IO's), post-IO media plan revisions, and the approval of all publisher IO's for each campaignActualizing campaigns to ensure campaign budgets and KPI's are met and delivered in fullAssisting Finance in billing executions and discrepanciesCompleting traffic sheets and assisting with gathering creative assets and instructions as neededWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE2+ years of experience in digital media planning and buyingUnderstanding and interest in programmatic media and real-time biddingExperience working alongside a Demand Side PlatformStrategic thinking and proactive client service skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong issue resolution and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to work well in a cross functional team environmentPassion for staying current with the latest research and media tools to guide recommendationsIntermediate to Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skillsCommitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported.Thoughtful approach to collaboration, design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning.BONUS POINTSHands on DSP buying experiencePrevious holistic media planning experienceExperience working with a 3rd party ad serverExperience in digital reporting dashboards such as DatoramaExperience in holistic media planning with a focus on search and socialBasis CertifiedSALARY RANGE $60,608 - $71,000 a year. This salary range reflects a typical compensation range for the role and level in most U.S. locations. Final compensation offered will depend on your location, experience, and skills. Total compensation may also include bonuses, equity, and competitive benefits.
