We seek a motivated Construction Project Manager - Hotel on a complex 32-story high-rise mixed-use development project in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The candidate will report to a Sr. Project Manager and must be experienced in core build-outs with a focus on the foundations, structure, building envelope, and civil aspects. The Project Manager will need to be an experienced on-site leader in ground-up developments and understand how to provide data and generate reports as a representative for the client to their leadership, design and construction partners, and authorities having jurisdiction over this project.
You will lead the Development Team for all work related to the Hotel Floor Levels, Ground Floor, Plaza Level, ballroom, Private Club, and Spa. The PM will recommend improvements to ongoing changes, construction techniques, schedules, and economies. They will monitor the Construction Manager’s performance, payments, changes, claims, and inspection conformance, providing feedback to the Project Executive Team. The PM will be responsible for the hotel portion during construction and will lead the acceptance and delivery of specific project areas to Ownership.
✅Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership to the Development Team for all work associated with the Hotel • Floor Levels, Ground Floor, Plaza Level, ballroom and level 10, Private Club, and Spa.
• Recommend improvements to ongoing changes, construction techniques, schedules, and construction economies for the project.
• Collaborate with the Development Team, offering input and feedback for the Hotel portion of the project.
• Monitor the Construction Manager’s performance regarding contractual responsibilities and provide observations and recommendations to the Project Executive Team.
• Oversee payment to contractors, manage changes and claims, and ensure inspection conformance to design requirements.
• Provide current cost and progress information as the work proceeds.
• Lead the efforts in the acceptance from the Construction Manager and the delivery to Ownership of the specified areas of the project.
✅Skills and experience:
• Education: Bachelor of Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited University.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with a focus on hotel projects.
• Requirements of local, state, and federal jurisdictions in relation to the project.
• Construction contract documents, including front-end and technical specifications and drawings, to readily understand and assess the requirements.
• Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project’s success.
• Must possess the skillset and competency to supervise and manage personnel of diverse skill sets.
✅Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with developer-led projects.
• Experience in hospitality, luxury apartments, luxury clubs, etc.
• PE, RA/AIA, CCM, PMP certifications.
