Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Design & Development Engineer to join our automotive technology team in Nagoya, Japan. This role focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of vehicle cybersecurity systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to continuous process improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical comprehension, documentation, and analytical thinking skills. Candidates with a background in automotive electrical, electronic, or ECU systems are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and evaluate vehicle cybersecurity systems and architectures.
* Support process construction and ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations.
* Collaborate with internal teams across different vehicle types and functions.
* Participate in technical reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Organize, document, and communicate technical points effectively.
* Prepare and review technical reports, documents, and presentations using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Required Qualifications
* 3–6 years of experience in engineering, design, or technical documentation.
* Strong skills in technical analysis, reporting, and documentation (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Proven logical thinking and ability to summarize key technical findings.
* Cybersecurity experience not mandatory — training and support will be provided.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
* Basic understanding of electrical, electronic, or software systems.
* Experience in automotive electrical/electronic system development, in-vehicle networks, or ECU (Electronic Control Unit) design.
* Logical reasoning and comprehension are the highest priorities.
Language Requirements
* Japanese: Native level (required).
* English: Not required.
* Citizenship / Visa: Japanese language ability (Native or JLPT N2+) required.
