The Trust and Safety Team is responsible for building and maintaining a safe and secure service environment for Mercari Group as we work toward achieving our mission of “circulate all forms of value to unleash the potential in all people.” To achieve our mission, we need to go on the offense and take on bold challenges. At the same time, we need to maintain a strong defense to create trustworthy services if we want to provide our users with new experiences. Responsibilities: - Contribute to planning, development, and operation of the Mercari marketplace app - Identify and improve user exit factors to create a platform that our users will treasure in the long term - Propose and implement new service projects and features based on user needs and popular trends - Create specifications for new projects and features, and implement them by working closely with engineers, designers, and customer service representatives - Take responsibility for product development processes and lead the product team’s development cycle - Prevent fraud on the Mercari platform before it happens and handle cases of fraud when it does occur
