The DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level) plays a hands-on role in building and operating SCIA’s automation platform. This role owns discrete automation capabilities end-to-end, contributing production-quality Infrastructure-as-Code, pipelines, and operational tooling that improve security posture, reliability, and cost efficiency across Azure environments.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, enhance, and maintain Azure Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM modules and examplesBuild and operate CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub used to validate, package, and release SCIA automationDevelop operational automation supporting patching, scaling, diagnostics enforcement, cost optimization, and policy complianceLead technical onboarding engagements with application teams and resolve deployment or configuration issuesParticipate in PI planning, backlog refinement, and change-managed release activitiesPerform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineersRequired Qualifications3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation rolesHands-on experience deploying and operating workloads in Microsoft AzureStrong automation and scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash2–5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for automation, tooling, or CI/CD pipeline developmentExperience working in enterprise environments with formal change management and release controlsExpected ImpactWithin the first 6–12 months, this role will own key automation components, reduce friction for onboarding teams, and contribute measurable improvements to platform reliability, security, and Azure cost efficiency.BenefitsRemote first / work from home cultureFlexible vacation to help you rest, recharge, and connect with loved onesPaid leave benefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401k retirement savings planInfertility benefitsTuition reimbursement, life insurance, EAP – and more!About UsAt Merative, you can apply your skills – and grow new ones – with colleagues who have deep expertise in health and technology.
