No previous interpretation experience is required. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training, ongoing coaching, and support to prepare them for live interpretation assignments. This is a long-term opportunity working with major U.S. clients. ## What You'll Do * Provide professional interpretation between **Karenni and English** speakers. * Accurately communicate information while maintaining the meaning and intent of the original speaker. * Apply interpretation techniques learned during training. * Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and end users. * Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working remotely. * Participate in ongoing coaching and professional development. ## Training Program All selected candidates will participate in a **paid 3-week training program** designed to prepare them for live interpretation. ### Training Schedule * **Duration:** 3 weeks * **Live training:** 2 hours per day * **Live training hours:** 7:00 AM–9:00 AM California time * **Homework and assignments:** 5 hours per day * **Total paid training:** 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week * Homework and assignments are also paid. ## No Experience Required Previous interpretation or translation experience is **not required**. We are primarily looking for candidates who are genuinely fluent in both **Karenni and English**, communicate effectively, and are willing to learn professional interpretation skills through the training program. ## Requirements * Fluency in **Karenni**. * Fluency in **English**. * Strong verbal and communication skills. * Reliable internet connection. * Professional and positive attitude. * Ability to work independently in a remote environment. * Availability for a full-time position. * Ability to attend training starting at **7:00 AM California time**. ## Application & Selection Process 1. The language assessments are designed to evaluate **language fluency** rather than previous interpretation experience. ## English Test Requirements Candidates taking the English assessment must: * Use a **laptop or desktop computer only**. * Have a stable internet connection. * Follow all test instructions carefully. * Close other applications, websites, and browser tabs before starting the test. * Do not use mobile phones, tablets, or other devices during the test. * Have a pen and paper available for note-taking. * Use **English only** during the assessment. * Demonstrate a broad vocabulary and ability to construct clear, detailed sentences.
