Each team member is bright, strategic, and dedicated to protecting the unborn.About the roleProtect Life Michigan’s Executive Assistant will assist in the everyday needs of the Executive Director, including scheduling and preparing materials. This position requires an individual to be extremely organized and have a keen attention to detail. This person should excel when working independently and must also be able to work well with other people, conduct himself/herself in a professional manner, and be proficient with the most common computer programs.THIS POSITION IS REQUIRES THE CANDIDATE TO SUPPORT RAISE TO FUND THEIR SALARY & MINISTRY EXPENSES. PLEASE SEE MORE INFORMATION IN THE SALARY AND BENEFITS SECTION BELOW.This is a part time position, about 21-25 hours per week.What you'll doProvide administrative support to the Executive Director, including managing their calendar and inbox, prioritizing requests, and handling confidential matters.Prepare meeting notes and event briefings, including materials for Board Meetings, Director Meetings, and meetings with other stakeholders.File paperwork, sending and receiving documentationTravel planning and coordinationWork with the Director of Community Engagement to assemble weekly contact lists for calls, texts, and handwritten notes for the Executive Director to writeMake purchases and log receiptsScreen incoming phone calls, inquiries, and correspondence, and handle them accordingly.Review contractsComplete tasks that come up as a result of meetingsSchedule meetings and task remindersLog touch points and notes in CRM (Customer Relationship Management)Prepare data for mailing lists, email lists, donation summaries, etc.Occasionally prepare and proof communicationsCheck on project statuses within various departmentsAssist with other projects and tasks, as neededQualificationsCommitment to the pro-life movement and the mission of Protect Life Michigan.Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to follow detailed directions, and exceptional oral and written communication.Google Workspace and administrative experience strongly preferred.Ability to build productive relationships with supporters, students, and the communityAbility to manage multiple projects independentlyThis is a remote position, however we do require candidates to reside within Michigan.Salary/BenefitsSalary and benefits are determined by the needs of the individual, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include:After completing 1 year of work, eligibility for employer-matched Simple IRA.Ample professional development opportunities.Protect Life Michigan is a support-raising organization. The salary and all expenses associated with this position will be fundraised by the candidate. Protect Life Michigan will provide training and coaching in order to help the candidate reach full support and will pay the candidate while they raise support. We have an excellent track record of helping job candidates reach full support: 85% of our candidates have reached full support within 2-3 months.You will complete support raising prep work over the first 1-3 weeks, then you will attend a support raising bootcamp around week 4 of your employment with PLM. Subsequently, you will spend the next 6-13 weeks support raising before beginning your job duties.All applicants must be supportive of this approach and open to engaging in it.Ample paid vacation time, holidays, and sick days.Semi-flexible schedule to be set with the employee and supervisorAbility to work from home.
