This pivotal role involves crafting scalable backend systems that integrate seamlessly with open technologies like OpenTelemetry, ensuring our platform remains at the cutting edge of observability solutions.Responsibilities:Develop and scale the backend of our Telemetry Data Management Platform, emphasizing compatibility with open technologies such as OpenTelemetry.Architect systems that process and analyze vast amounts of machine data efficiently.Actively participate in strategic planning and the development of technical roadmaps.Work closely with the founders to ensure features meet customer needs and are delivered to a high standard.Collaborate with the team to enhance integration with widely-used observability tools, ensuring robust and flexible data ingestion and analysis capabilities.Advocate for and implement best practices in open-source software development, contributing to the open-source community where applicable.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and reliability.Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.Stay abreast of new technologies and techniques in backend development and observability platforms.RequirementsQualifications:BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Over 10 years of experience in backend development, with a strong background in handling large-scale data systems.Expertise in programming languages like Go, Rust, Java, or Python and a proven track record in building scalable server architectures.Experience with open-source technologies and standards, particularly OpenTelemetry, is highly desirable.Familiarity with cloud services, microservices architectures, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership skills.What We Offer:A competitive salary and significant equity in a fast-growing startup.The chance to be a founding member, shaping the company's culture and product direction.Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and wellness programs.Access to the latest tools and technologies.Opportunities for professional growth and development in a supportive and collaborative environment.
