Senior COBOL Developer We are seeking a Senior COBOL Developer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise COBOL applications. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who values clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement within mainframe environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain COBOL-based applications that are efficient, scalable, and reliable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhance existing functionality. Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain application stability and performance. Partner with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure smooth deployments and successful releases. Continuously explore and adopt new tools, technologies, and best practices in the mainframe ecosystem to improve development workflows. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5–7 years of experience in COBOL development (COBOL Batch, COBOL CICS, or both). Strong understanding of structured programming and software design principles. Proficiency with JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, or similar mainframe tools and technologies. Familiarity with version control tools such as Git is a plus. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and explain technical concepts clearly.
