You will be expected to bring the level of strategic thinking, professionalism, and genuine care that RCR is known for.What You'll DoTrusted Client AdvisoryServe as a dedicated HR partner across a portfolio of client organizations in diverse industriesBuild deep, lasting relationships with client leadership — becoming their trusted go-to advisor for all people-related mattersProvide proactive guidance that anticipates HR challenges before they escalateDeliver the 'wow factor' in every client interaction through exceptional responsiveness, expertise, and follow-throughEmployee Relations & Performance ManagementLead and manage complex employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolutionCoach managers on performance management best practices, documentation standards, and conducting difficult conversationsDesign and implement performance improvement frameworks aligned with each client's culture and business goalsNavigate sensitive situations with discretion, empathy, and sound professional judgmentHR Project & Change ManagementLead end-to-end HR projects including policy development, process redesign, and organizational change initiativesDevelop and execute change management plans that drive adoption, minimize disruption, and bring stakeholders alongManage multiple client projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines consistentlyPrepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations and recommendations to senior leadershipBenefits Administration & ComplianceAdvise clients on benefits plan design, open enrollment coordination, and carrier transitionsEnsure ongoing compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws including ACA, FMLA, ADA, and FLSAPartner with brokers and vendors to resolve escalated issues and optimize plan performance for client employeesSupport payroll-related inquiries and collaborate on deduction audits, compliance corrections, and reporting (preferred)Communication & HR EffectivenessDevelop polished HR communications including policies, employee handbooks, memos, and training materialsFacilitate training sessions, workshops, and leadership development programs for client teamsTranslate complex HR regulations and best practices into clear, actionable guidance for leaders at all levelsWhat You BringRequired Qualifications5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience with a strong foundation in employee relations and performance managementDemonstrated success in a client-facing, consulting, or multi-client HR support environmentProven project management capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple clientsMeaningful change management experience — you have led organizations through transitions and brought people alongExceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your style from frontline managers to C-suite executivesIn-depth knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across federal and state jurisdictionsAbility and willingness to work West Coast hours (Pacific Time) in a fully remote settingSelf-directed and highly organized — you operate independently with minimal oversight and deliver consistentlyPreferred QualificationsPrior HR consulting, PEO, or HRO experience strongly preferredBenefits administration experience including vendor management and open enrollmentPayroll knowledge or experience supporting payroll audits and compliance correctionsPHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certificationProficiency with HRIS platforms and the full Microsoft Office SuiteCompensation and BenefitsSalary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 annuallyBenefits Package: Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, STD, LTD, PTO, paid holidays, professional development assistance, and 401(k) matching
