This role is part of our Central Finance Team at
saas.group.This is a critical role in our global Finance team that manages accounting, controlling and legal functions in our growing group of currently 18 international entities. You will report to our Director of Accounting and Tax and be responsible for all aspects of operational accounting for several entities. In your daily work you will often interact with our CFO, our Group Controlling Lead and the managing directors of many of our portfolio brands.This position offers a unique opportunity to take your accounting career to the next level by becoming part of a fast growing software startup with opportunities to grow your profile in areas such as consolidation and group accounting, international GAAP and merger & acquisitions.Your responsibilitiesOversee all aspects of accounting for our entities’ billing, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, tax and various special analyses.Maintain general ledger reconciliations with adequate documentation for all balance sheet accounts.Responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and commentary of your portfolio and support with consolidation and monthly group reportingRun annual financial statements and audits, preparing and filing of VAT, sales tax and GST returnsSupport our Leadership Team in tax matters and international billing, monitor and prepare intercompany transactionsWork with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors and other service providersPlay a vital part in the company's financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary partiesSupervision and optimization of the company’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiativesWhat You bring to the tableMust-havesMinimum 3 years hands-on experience with NetSuiteProven experience running/owning multi-GAAP accounting for a legal entity — for example, a German subsidiary whose numbers feed into group reporting under US GAAP but that must also independently fulfill German GAAP statutory account requirementsStrong AI literacy — hands-on experience using AI tools/LLMs to automate and improve day-to-day accounting workAlso importantBachelor’s degree in accountancy or similar qualification and at least 5 years experience as an accountantPrior work experience at a SaaS or Software companyExperience with Billing or Revenue Recognition tool (Stripe, Chargebee)Experience with all-round accounting (AR, AP, Payroll, GL, tax, audit)Experience in supporting annual auditsIndependent, structured, solution-oriented and analytical way of workingGreat time management skills and strong ability to stay organized and deliver closer to financial deadlinesStrong English communication skillsWhat's in it for YouUltimate flexibility: We’re 100% remote.
