Requirements and responsibilities

• Maintain essential IT operations/services which include operating systems, security tools, applications, network, servers, email systems and SaaS applications. • Ensure that assigned IT service incidents are managed effectively and root-cause problem analysis is undertaken where appropriate, to reduce the number and severity of future operational incidents. • Respond to escalations from L1 support. Interact with the other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed. • Provide internal IT, Hardware and Application support, including: troubleshooting outages, retrieving and analysing logs and performing root cause analysis. • Administer systems using automated configuration management utilities. • Performing maintenance duties such as server patching, application upgrades, remediating OS vulnerabilities, and asset management. • Supporting cross teams and departmental projects if required. Work collaboratively with Service Desk and other teams. • Be part of the Change Management Life cycle to make sure each proposed change on IT Infrastructure is reviewed/approved/executed and tested. • Share knowledge actively with the rest of the IT team to help them learn and improve the effectiveness of IT Services.
