About UsCATTs is a dynamic youth-led charity dedicated to ensuring all young people aged 15-29 across the UK have access to essential health education and support for early cancer detection. Our mission is to empower young individuals through knowledge about detection, prevention, and making informed health decisions. We utilise interactive workshops and resources, addressing specific health needs across diverse backgrounds, and strive to break the stigma surrounding health conversations.Role OverviewWe are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Trustee Board. As a trustee, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of CATTs while supporting our day-to-day operations. This is an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and positively impact the health education of young people.ResponsibilitiesAttend at least three board meetings per year, including the AGM and one in-person meeting.Contribute to strategic discussions and provide insight based on your area of expertise.Support the implementation of our five-year strategy.Engage in the day-to-day operations and decision-making processes.Act as an ambassador for CATTs, representing the charity at events and functions.Areas of Expertise RequiredWe are especially keen to welcome individuals with experience in:Strategic FinanceMarketing and Social MediaPublic HealthFinanceOperational DeliveryPerson SpecificationAll trustees must embody the following attributes:Commitment to the mission of CATTs.Integrity and good independent judgment.Creative thinking with the capacity for innovation.A willingness to understand legal duties and responsibilities of trusteeship.Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.A proactive approach to providing strategic support and governance.Training and SupportCATTs offers training for new trustees to understand their roles and responsibilities effectively.How to ApplyCandidates interested in becoming a trustee are encouraged to submit their application, clearly outlining how their skills align with our strategic objectives.
