Remote (U.S.)Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000About UsWe are seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Commodity Manager to oversee sourcing and supplier management for custom fabricated parts supporting complex Build-to-Print (BTP) manufacturing operations.This individual will play a critical role in developing supplier strategies, driving cost reduction initiatives, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring continuity of supply across a global supplier network. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical manufacturing knowledge, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing expertise.What You'll DoStrategic Sourcing & Commodity ManagementDevelop and execute global commodity strategies for custom fabricated components and related commodities.Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers capable of supporting complex manufacturing requirements.Drive supplier consolidation, dual-sourcing initiatives, and supply chain resiliency programs.Lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs while conducting supplier evaluations and competitive analysis.Perform total cost of ownership (TCO), should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and market analysis.Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, payment terms, inventory programs, and commercial agreements.Deliver annual cost savings and productivity improvement initiatives.Supplier Management & PerformanceBuild and maintain strategic supplier relationships.Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, capacity, and cost.Conduct supplier reviews, capability assessments, audits, and site visits.Drive supplier accountability and continuous improvement efforts.Serve as the escalation point for critical supplier issues and shortages.Technical & Operational SupportAct as the subject matter expert for custom fabrication technologies and manufacturing processes.Partner with Engineering teams on DFM initiatives, material selection, and manufacturability improvements.Support prototype builds, NPI activities, and production ramp-ups.Collaborate with Quality teams to address supplier performance issues and corrective actions.Cross-Functional LeadershipPartner closely with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.Present sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, cost reduction initiatives, and risk mitigation plans to leadership.Support enterprise-wide supplier standardization and procurement best practices.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, supplier development, or supply chain management.Strong experience sourcing custom fabricated components and manufacturing-related commodities.Experience leading supplier negotiations, RFQ/RFP processes, and commercial agreements.Strong analytical skills, including cost modeling, market analysis, and TCO evaluations.Working knowledge of fabrication technologies, manufacturing processes, materials, and supplier capabilities.Experience collaborating across Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain functions.Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and supply chain analytics tools.Preferred QualificationsExperience within Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), aerospace, defense, medical device, industrial manufacturing, or other high-reliability industries.Experience supporting Build-to-Print (BTP) manufacturing environments.Knowledge of supplier qualification methodologies and quality systems.Experience managing suppliers throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Asia.APICS, CPSM, CPM, or similar certifications preferred.Success in This RoleKey performance measures include:Annual cost savings and PPV improvementsSupplier delivery and quality performanceLead-time reduction initiativesDual-source implementationInventory optimization and continuity of supplySupplier consolidation and spend managementSourcing cycle time and RFQ responsivenessThis is an excellent opportunity for a sourcing professional who enjoys building supplier partnerships, solving complex supply chain challenges, and driving measurable business impact within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
