This role delivers actionable insights through rigorous research and data analysis, with a strong focus on Federal Government Contracting (GovCon) within aerospace manufacturing, product offerings, and technical engineering services. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the GovCon landscape, including familiarity with Federal acquisition processes (FAR/DFARS), contract vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs), and agency-specific procurement dynamics (DoD, Air Force, Navy, Army, NASA). This individual should have experience analyzing OEMs and Tier 1–3 suppliers, product portfolios, and engineering service capabilities within the aerospace and defense industrial base.The proposed salary range for this position is $80,475–$120,275. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. Employment benefits include health and wellness programs, income protection, paid leave and retirement and savings.ResponsibilitiesLeads: Assess and qualify business opportunities by analyzing leads from internal sources (existing IDIQ and GWAC contract vehicles) and external platforms like GovWin to support strategic pipeline development. Mature leads through the qualification process and assist with capture planning by supporting Senior Growth Professionals.Pipeline Development: Generate and advance leads through the qualification process to build a healthy pipeline. Assist Senior Growth Professionals with capture through proposal as required.CRM Management: Utilize CRM system to track, manage and update pipeline information, monitor progression, and generate pipeline reports. Assist with user training as required.Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of aerospace OEMs, Tier suppliers, and competitors across manufacturing, product lines, and technical engineering service offerings.Develop detailed competitive intelligence profiles covering capabilities, certifications (e.g., AS9100), product portfolios, engineering services, and strategic positioning.Develop and maintain a centralized repository of competitive and market intelligence.Prepare capabilities matrices, past performance and data calls as required.Assist in preparing RFI and Market Research responses to demonstrate experience and capabilities to customers.Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs, pipeline performance, product performance, and market dynamics.Gather and furnish data from industry reports, government publications, and trade publications to the Growth team.Partner closely with Senior Growth Leads, Delivery, Technical and Financial teams to support go-to-market strategies.Oversee industry conference participation from planning through execution.Key qualificationsClearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance.Education and years of experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, with 5–7 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-related roles.Familiarity with government contracting (FAR, IDIQ, GWACS, MACs), RFP processes, and engineering services procurement in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Strong knowledge of aerospace industry structure, including OEMs and tiered supply chains.Preferred additional qualificationsCRM experience (Unanet or Deltek preferred).Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Experience supporting GovCon Business Development (Shipley training preferred).Certification in business intelligence tools or data analytics platforms.Equal opportunityEXPANSIA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
