We find an open-door policy to questions, suggestions, and feedback yields the best results.What is a Fabrication Producer:They have a meticulous eye for details and are always bringing new innovative fabrication methods to the design team. The Fabrication Producer is responsible for overseeing vendors building any custom scenic, not only for the quality of the build and final product but also managing their schedules, approval processes and onsite labor. The Fabrication producer will have detailed tracking documents, providing key information to the project leads to ensure clients expectations are managed throughout the process.General Fabrication Roles & Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the fabrication, installation, load out, and asset after-life (storage, disposal, etc.) for projects. This will be achieved with the assistance of team members working with you and/or under your direction.Collaborate with the Design Team to realize the client’s vision by offering the best construction methods, engineering, and mechanical design solutions for unique scenic elements and/or special effects.Collaborate with both the Design Team and Production team to foster information flow and clarity of communications throughout all phases of projects.Review internal and external project drawing packages to ensure all specifications are accurate to meet the needs of our carpentry shop.Coordinate with vendors to facilitate the production of goods and assembly drawings for external items.Oversee routing and approval process for vendor POs and invoices, tracking spending against budget allocations.Monitor progression and budgets, regularly updating internal teams with project status and install dates.Participate and assist in the event permitting process, including supplying the team with necessary build drawings from vendors.Maintain accurate and complete event, project and client files, organizing all event orders, budget tracking, vendor quotes, approvals and design renderParticipate in weekly team meetings, reporting on current projects, and collaborating with colleagues on other projects and events as neededConfidence proposing next steps and participating in team conversationsComfort and confidence managing day to day project related vendor relationshipsOnsite production execution and proactive problem solverApproach projects as an opportunity to create premium work and develop vendor relationships and strong teams - it’s not just about the end result but also the process and the peopleProficient understanding of google docsTravel both domestically and internationally will be requiredRequirements4+ Years of experience in event production with emphasis on managing fabrication scopeProven experience as a production manager, preferably with prior big brand, agency or fabrication shop experienceSkilled in project management, and fabrication/production executionMust be detail-oriented, on-time, and accurateConfidence proposing next steps and leading a team from a strategic thought through executionKnowledge of KPIs, specific to production execution, fabrication, and designComputer savvy; proficient in Google Suite and other event-related design software as requiredPreferred, but not required knowledge of Adobe Suites, Rhino, SketchUp, CAD, graphic designEagerness to learn, explore and develop new skills and broaden understanding of event and client needs to strengthen company performanceOutstanding written and verbal communication skills; maintain excellent email correspondenceStrong negotiation abilityExcellent organizational skillsUnderstanding of the creative process for large scale eventsProactive problem solver
