Job DescriptionThe ServiceNow Senior Developer is responsible for the ongoing development and administration of Nasstar’s ServiceNow enterprise application. The Senior Developer will ensure that functionality aligns with business objectives, delivers value to both internal and external stakeholders, and remains scalable, secure, and efficient. The position requires expertise in developing ServiceNow across the CSM, ITSM, SPM, and ITOM stack.ServiceNow is a mission-critical application, scalable, and secure, enabling collaboration across departments and supporting key organizational goals. The Developer will contribute to regular sprints, ensure good governance, best practice and alignment of all development to good technical architecture. The Senior Developer will also support releases and regular maintenance.The Senior Developer will report into the Head of ServiceNow Enterprise Applications.Platform Ownership and DevelopmentSupport the configuration, customisation, and optimisation of ServiceNow (CSM, ITSM, SMP, ITOM, AI Assist).Work on regular development Sprints delivering best practice functionality whilst avoiding unnecessary customisation and reduced technical debt.Ensure development is compliant with regulations (e.g., GDPR) and meets performance benchmarks.Support platform upgrades, version control, and feature adoption in collaboration with architects and developers.Contribute to the creation and planning of sprints, working closely with the wider team.Provide governance and acceptance criteria for user stories and enhancements. Ensure the quality of development is of the highest standard.Support API and integration requirements.Support the adoption of AI assist and further AI initiatives, aligning with the wider business AI Innovation group.Team ContributionWork closely with the development team and Head of ServiceNowContribute to the wider team of Architects, Senior Developers, and Administrators responsible for the platform.Work closely with the wider IT, Business Systems and Data teamsStakeholder CollaborationEngage with wider Business and team leaders to gather requirements and ensure the platform meets their evolving needs.Contribute on external-facing innovations (e.g., customer portals).Support the User Forum and wider ServiceNow champions across the business.About NasstarNasstar is a cloud service specialist.
