Job DescriptionSDL is seeking an experienced Technical Writer. This person will work alongside Program Managers and engineering personnel to develop contract deliverables and a variety of other documentation for software and hardware development, test, and delivery. This is a full-time position located onsite in North Logan, Utah. Join our team of engineers, scientists, technicians, and business professionals in our seventh decade of delivering mission success.Technical Writer Responsibilities include:Researching, writing, formatting, and editing contract deliverables, including reports, manuals, plans, presentations, and white papersAttending program review meetings and customer meetings to capture action items and minutesAssisting with tracking program requirements as needed, including software and hardware documentation outputRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or a related fieldMust be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security ClearanceExperience producing user manuals, test plans, procedures, technical and status reports, and other technical documentationProficiency using MS OfficeExperience using Adobe CSAbility to understand, evaluate, and document technical and engineering conceptsAbility to be proactive and work effectively with little direct supervisionAbility to work productively alone and in a teamAbility to meet tight deadlines, set individual priorities, and remain flexible when priorities shiftExcellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up and close the loopExcellent written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Active TS/SSBIExperience working DoD programsProposal writing experienceAt least 2 years of related experienceSalary Range$46,000 – $65,500This range serves as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as role, level, location, market conditions, and individual qualifications, including job-related skills, experience or training.
