Responsibilities

We're searching a Senior Backend Engineer to help us turn Daitable from a set of great installations and implementations into a extremely fast to implement product. We make energy consumption legible. Meters on electricity, water, gas and heat across hospitals, factories and hotels in Slovakia — telemetry off the edge into Azure IoT Hub, through C# transformers into PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, out the other side as dashboards, forecasts, alarms, and automation that physically sheds load to keep a site under its reserved capacity limit. Real hardware at one end, real saving at the other. Where we are: we've proven it client by client. 2026 is the year it becomes a platform — multi-tenant, so an integrator can onboard a new site in under a day without a core developer touching anything. That is the job. It's architecture and code work, not ticket work. What we're looking for: 5+ years of serious backend, strong C#/.NET, comfortable in Python, and someone who has actually fought with time-series data at volume — gaps, resampling, aggregation, anomaly detection, queries that have to stay fast as the table grows. Azure is a plus, not a requirement. You'd work with me directly and own decisions rather than inherit them. Bratislava — one day a week in the office is ideal, the rest remote. Flexible for the right person, but some amount of office is mandatory.
