Through CVAUSA’s physician-centered practice management model, physicians drive clinical care and their practice culture, while benefiting from the business expertise and shared resources available through CVAUSA for better patient outcomes.JOB OVERVIEW:We are seeking an agile, commercially focused Corporate Counsel to provide strategic in-house legal support. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will balance legal risk with business objectives, focusing on complex vendor contracts, technology agreements, and healthcare regulatory matters.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):Contracting & Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of vendor, technology, professional services, and healthcare agreements. Oversee the contract lifecycle (intake to renewal) while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.Healthcare Regulatory & Compliance: Advise on MSO-style practice management, physician operations, value-based care initiatives, and enterprise risk management, ensuring strict adherence to healthcare laws.Strategic Business Partnership: Partner directly with executives and business leaders to identify legal issues and design practical, efficient solutions.Legal Operations & Training: Develop legal training programs (negotiation best practices, escalation protocols) and champion the use of contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.Outside Counsel Management: Manage external legal resources, including defining project scopes, coordinating advice, and controlling costs.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIESEducation & Bar Admission: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in good standing of any State Bar.Experience: 4+ years of legal experience with a strong emphasis on healthcare regulatory matters and complex vendor/technology contract negotiations.Legal Acumen: Exceptional contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with a track record of providing commercially focused legal advice.Risk Management: Sound judgment in identifying and balancing legal, operational, and business risksSoft Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus across all organizational levels.Tech & Tooling: Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, legal operations tools, and contract playbooks is strongly preferred.Position OverviewSalary: $160,000 – $200,000 / yearBenefits: Full benefits package active on day oneType: Full-time, 100% Remote We are an equal opportunity employer and celebrate diversity.
