We believe in the pursuit of better, not just in cloud-native app development, but in creating meaningful experiences and outcomes that matter.RevStar is seeking a senior, hands-on Software Development Lead to act as a player-coach and technical standard bearer across our Product Development practice.This role is responsible for raising the quality bar across all delivery teams, not by managing people directly, but by leading through hands-on contribution, standards enforcement, coaching, and enablement.Our Product Managers own day-to-day team delivery and execution. The Software Development Lead focuses on:Establishing and enforcing coding, architecture, and delivery standardsOperating a Center of Excellence for cloud-native product developmentLeading standards committees, internal training, leadership labs, and technical reviewsCreating reusable accelerators, boilerplate code, and reference architecturesCreate, propose, and operate a mechanism to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across all client solutionsOversee the adoption of AI to accelerate product development, improve profitability, support competitive estimates, and ensure client satisfactionThe ideal candidate is has deep experience in ReactJS, NodeJS, and AWS cloud-native development, is able to be hands-on in code and architecture, while acting as a force multiplier across the organization. rise or fall together.Role and ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership (Player-Coach)Serve as a hands-on technical leader contributing directly to:Architectural standards Code reviewsComplex technical problem-solvingReference implementationsCreate and serve as a Center of Excellence for complex engineering challenges across teamsPartner with Product Managers and Team Leads to validate feasibility, scalability, and long-term maintainability of solutionsLead by example through high-quality, production-grade code and architectural patternsStandards, Governance & Center of ExcellenceIn partnership with Practice Lead, participate in and support a Product Development Standards CommitteeDefine, document, and enforce:Coding standards (ReactJS, NodeJS, backend APIs)Cloud-native architecture patterns on AWSCI/CD, testing, and observability expectationsSecurity, performance, and scalability best practicesEnsure all teams and team leads are following approved engineering and delivery execution standardsPeriodically audit projects for standards compliance and coach teams on remediationEnablement, Training & Leadership DevelopmentDesign and deliver a developer training curriculum, including but not limited to:Modern ReactJS and NodeJS patternsAWS cloud-native architecturesEvent-driven systems, APIs, and microservicesTesting, observability, and performance optimizationLead Companywide Leadership Labs focused on:Technical decision-makingCode quality and maintainabilityTradeoff analysis and architectural reasoningAI adoption for efficient product development aligned with RevStars approved tool registryMentor senior engineers and team leads as they grow into technical leadership rolesSupport onboarding and ramp-up of new engineers through shared patterns and standardsRequirementsMust HaveBachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field7+ years of professional software development experienceStrong hands-on expertise in:ReactJS (modern patterns, state management, performance)NodeJS (APIs, services, async systems)Deep experience building cloud-native applications on AWSStrong understanding of:REST and event-driven architecturesCI/CD pipelinesTesting strategies and observabilityProven experience leading technical standards or architecture across multiple teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to influence
