ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable software applications for real-world products. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering fundamentals, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is passionate about building high-quality, production-ready systems. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to testing and deployment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and servicesCollaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality featuresWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code following software engineering best practicesBuild and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party servicesTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and reliabilityParticipate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisionsCreate and maintain technical documentationStay up to date with modern software development tools, frameworks, and best practicesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical fieldStrong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or C#Experience building web applications, backend services, or distributed systemsSolid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programmingExperience working with relational and/or NoSQL databasesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plusExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testingAbility to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a teamAbility to work in a US time zone, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)BENEFITSCompetitive pay, always in US dollarsWork remotely from the comfort of your homePaid holidays and time offPerformance bonusGlobal exposure to the world’s best companiesPomelo places the best offshore talent with leading brands, startups, and agencies across the globe.
