We are looking for a proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to join our GCP-based data streaming team. You will design, build, and operate real-time data pipelines, ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency.We are looking for candidates who are as excited about pushing their development as they are about advancing our technology stack.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:You will become a key engineering team member, contributing significantly within a collaborative, autonomous, and cross-functional environment. Your role will involve assisting with the following:Design, build, and maintain real-time data pipelines.Ensure the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure.Collaborate with agile teams to deliver efficient solutions.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build.Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform.Maintain observability through metrics, logging, and tracing tools.Resolve complex infrastructure issues proactively and efficiently.Create detailed documentation, including runbooks and architecture diagrams.Mentor team members through code reviews and pair programming.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)Strong networking knowledge (VPC, VPN, Peering, NAT)Strong load-balancing expertise (HTTP(S), TCP/SSL)Deep proficiency in Google Cloud Platform and its core services (GCE, GCS, Cloud Functions, App Engine, Cloud Run)Advanced Terraform skills (module design, workspaces, state backends)Extensive container and Kubernetes experience (Docker best practices, GKE, Helm)Solid CI/CD expertise with Google Cloud Build (pipelines, triggers)Proficient in IAM, organisation policies, and resource managementSQL skills for both transactional databases and BigQueryFamiliarity with data streaming and real-time processing (Pub/Sub, Apache Beam/Dataflow, Kafka)Advanced scripting and programming (bash/zsh, Python with GCP SDK, Go)Hands-on with observability tools (metrics, logs, traces)Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practicesTroubleshooting mindset for resolving complex infrastructure issuesStrong communication and documentation abilities (runbooks, architecture diagrams)Mentoring experience and aptitude for code reviews and pair programmingExperience working in Agile development environments, particularly in a Scrum framework.Strong English communication skills, both written and verbalAWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:Familiarity with OpenTelemetryFamiliarity with Kyverno, Falco, and TeleportSecurity-scanning and compliance automation (Trivy, Snyk)Knowledge of serverless orchestration (Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow)WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Be part of our collegial environment where responsibility and authority are shared equally amongst colleagues and help create our company culture A culture in which we don’t criticise failure but ensure we learn from our mistakesAn Agile environment where your ideas are welcome The possibility to grow and experience different projectsOngoing Training & Mentoring The possibility to travel (UK) - ATTENTION!
