Requirements and responsibilities


✅ Important details 🚀 We prefer our Head of Engineering is in the Asia timezone because the developers are from there. However, we can accept people from LATAM if they are willing to work in this timezone. 🚀 The position is only for 6 months because we are replacing the current Head of Engineering who will take off for 6 months. 🚀 The process is the following: 1) Torre Screening, 2) the First interview with the Co-Founder and a Senior Developer, 3) the Second interview with Sequoia Capital Technology Partner. The company would add an extra step if it's necessary. ✅ What we're looking for 🚀 8+ years of experience as a software engineer 🚀 At least 3 years as an engineering manager or above position 🚀 Ability to execute and think strategically, building systems that can be scaled. 🚀 You’re a self-starter and are solution-oriented. You try to find problems and own the process of solving them. 🚀 Minimum 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails (front/backend), but we will emphasize more the backend side because we are transiting to Vue.Js for frontend. 🚀 Minimum 2 years of experience with a front-end framework like Vue.js, Ember.js, or React. ✅ What you'll do 🚀 Manage a team of remote software engineers 🚀 Work with the product team in ideating solutions and scoping out the solution with the engineering team. 🚀 Hold engineering team accounting for completing sprints on time Create a better delivery process Code review. 🚀 Recruiting new engineering team members. 🚀 Managing onboard and hiring processes. 🚀 Grow and retain our existing engineering team members.
