  • paramount+
    Backend Architect
    paramount+
    Jun 2025 - Jan 2026 (8 months)
My team was responsible for maintaining several internal tools for data replication, the main focus was on broadcasting new content added/updated and responding accordingly with all listening services and geographical distributions, so the main concern was response time and how to handle large amounts of events. During the PlutoTV and Paramount+ fusion I was responsible for laying out the data unification pipeline for all content in both applications. Allowing for PlutoTV content to be consumed by Paramount+ suite of apps. Stack: Golang, Kafka, K8s, Kube, NodeJS, React, Jenkins, Argo CI/CD
  • B
    Backend Architect
    Backtrack (contract)
    Sep 2024 - Apr 2025 (8 months)
The company was at a crucial point in its lifetime, in the sense that it was still getting tested on real world scenarios and the last couple of in-person conferences the sales team had tried selling the app were not good due to frequent crashes on the mobile app, the backend missing events and losing data. I was able to re-architect the solution and the result were three light and independent services (heavily monitored at the deployment level with Grafana tools) that communicated via AWS eventbridge and queues, assuring that no event would go unprocessed and there were no crashes and downtime on the backend side. Stack: NodeJS, React, AWS, Postgres, K8s, Kube, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Argo CI/CD, GitActions
  • Gopuff
    Senior Developer
    Gopuff
    Jun 2023 - Jul 2024 (1 year 2 months)
As a senior developer on the catalog team, my challenge was to create a single source of truth for all inventory related systems. The company was getting lots of user complaints about orders not being fulfilled due to inconsistent inventory quantities. The final solution deprecated several services over a new and better performant data api, the new synchronization was accomplished using kafka messages and some interval based cron jobs using Java Reactor to handle large amounts of data on non blocking services. Stack: Java, NodeJS, React, Azure, Postgres, Java, Micronaut, GitActions, Argo CI/CD, GitActions
  • C
    Backend Developer
    ChannelApe
    Mar 2022 - May 2023 (1 year 3 months)
Joining the company amidst a stack migration, my role was to, based on supabase, leverage on database row level security deliver a new platform agnostic api project (Typescript, Terraform) that would be fast to increment, avoiding cost spikes and being tied-down to Amazon. While also maintaining several Shopify plugins and integrations to monitor real-time inventory flow, from purchase to delivery. Stack: Java, NodeJS, React, AWS, MySQL, Micronaut, Argo CI/CD, GitActions
  • U
    Backend Architect
    Upstart 13 (contract)
    Sep 2021 - Feb 2022 (6 months)
As lead backend architect my role was to support a new project needing a MVP in six months. The project was called ApolloPods and it was a social network based experience for curating podcasts content. Where the users would be able to listen to the selected podcasts. Several web scrappers were put in place to monitor podcast databases and react fast so we could make the new content available on our service. The database of choice was Neo4J because of graph databases' innate ability to create connections between data and the ease of use when querying relationships. Also a Mongo database was used for the not so connection heavy data. Stack: Java, NodeJS, React, AWS, MySQL, Micronaut, Argo CI/CD
  • Kokku
    Co-founder and COO (later CTO)
    Kokku
    Dec 2010 - May 2021 (10 years 6 months)
As co-founder and COO (later CTO) I was the main engineer for the company's initial years. Creating game engines and the initial infrastructure for all projects. I came up with our main data pipeline from conceptual art up until the full project was delivered. Delivery was something that changed a lot, since we started with flash games that were a single file, then we went to social network games before moving to console AAA titles. Stack: Golang, C#, NodeJS, AWS, EC2, Postgres, Unreal, Unity, GitActions
  • Neurotech
    Backend Developer
    Neurotech
    Apr 2008 - Nov 2010 (2 years 8 months)
Ingesting large amounts of data and normalizing it for neural network training and identifying rest api access patterns.Data transformation with indexes and database procedures to generate flat files. By my own initiative, I also created several internal tools for large files management and treatment. After my time here the database team was now operating with defined flows and making use of internal tools to make the day to day easier. Stack: C#, MSqlServer, R, Data Modeling
