    Volunteer- Animal Welfare Advocate
    FOUR PAWS
    Apr 2019 - Sep 2019 (6 months)
As part of an initiative led by Dr. Amir Khalil, I conducted extensive surveys at Islamabad Zoo, where numerous animals—including an elephant (Kaavan), monkeys, wolves, deer, bears, rabbits, and lions—were enduring dire living conditions. My consistent efforts in surveying, reporting, and advocating for their welfare contributed to a transformative outcome. We successfully facilitated the relocation of Kaavan, the elephant, to a sanctuary in Cambodia and ensured the release of other animals to safer environments. These collective efforts led to the closure of the zoo, ending years of animal suffering. I am proud to have played a role in this meaningful advocacy for animal rights and welfare.
