I wrote and produced a sequel to Kuyafiwa Ezulwini. The sequel is titled Kuyafiwa Es'hogweni. The film was made under new production house Seamless Cut and commissioned by Mzansi Magic. I furthermore produced two more films under this production house titled; Dinaledi High School and Korobela, which are scheduled to premiere on Mzansi Magic, DSTV channel 161. I sourced crew and suppliers as well as did all production admin required i.e drawing up production budgets and making sure we stayed on budget. Under Seamless Cut, I have produced short-form projects, such as a MultiChoice corporate video and am currently in post-production for two PSA promos for The United Nations. Duties & Responsibilities: While in the Mzansi Magic Channel department for a month I read through scripts and gave narrative feedback. I was involved in pitches, story siftings and content strategy sessions. I had opportunity to spend time with the commissioning editors of Mzansi PRODUCER magic, 1Magic & Showmax. Here I read scripts of developing series and films to give feedback. I was involved with channel pitches, siftings and viewing of running TV shows and giving channel feedback to the producers. This experience has made me a producer that understand the importance of knowing your client's content strategy and making sure to give the client what they want and more. Duties & Responsibilities: I assisted with the marketing and data capturing of their Alexandra Art Cinema Homes launch. I worked closely with the event/project manager and curator of the event by making sure that each task was done in preparation for the launch. I liaised with the PR team to ensure that the launch received exposure in local media platforms and with the filmmakers that gave the event their films as content for the event. I also liaised with the curator to organise performances for the day and outsourced the required skill to make the day a success. Reason for leaving: Contract was for the coordination of the launch.
