11 years in home improvement. I've built it, sold it, and scaled it. Now I help other owners do the same. I started in sales, not marketing: talking to homeowners, qualifying leads, closing deals, and learning how home improvement companies actually operate from the inside. Before I ever ran a campaign for someone else, I ran marketing for my own business for 8 years. I hired and fired more than six marketers before I figured out what actually worked, sat through more courses and coaching programs than I can count, and eventually built my own in-house marketing and sales teams from scratch. That's the lens I bring to this work. I've been on the other side of the table paying for marketing that didn't deliver, and I know what it actually takes to fix that. Today, through Salo Marketing, I help established home improvement companies grow, including solar, HVAC, roofing, remodeling, windows, and similar trades. Marketing is only one part of it. Depending on what a business needs, that might mean paid advertising and lead generation, CRM setup and marketing organization, follow-up systems and appointment booking, sales process design, reporting and KPIs, or automation where it actually saves time. I don't build my positioning around one platform or tactic, because those change. What doesn't change is that marketing, sales, and operations need to work as one system. A company can generate plenty of leads and still stall out if follow-up is weak or the sales process is disorganized. My goal isn't to hand you more leads. It's to help you build a healthier, more scalable business. I work best with owners who already have something worth growing: a sales team (or one they're building), a marketing budget, and a real interest in improving how the business runs rather than chasing a shortcut.
