Nicole Leopardo is an equity strategist, systems thinker, and builder who turns complex organizational challenges into lasting change. She specializes in embedding equity into organizational cultures, learning systems, and decision-making practices — and has a track record of creating what didn't exist before, and making it stick.
Most recently, Nicole served as the inaugural Director of Organizational Culture and Effectiveness at Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA), where she built the organization's Racial Equity, Diversity & Inclusion department from the ground up at a $30M organization — designing training, developing measurement frameworks, and integrating equity principles across every level of the institution. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Consultant and Assessment Advisor at The Justice Collective, leading high-quality EDI engagements across public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Nicole also co-founded the first Critical Mixed Race Studies minor at San Francisco State University, pioneering academic programming at the intersections of race and public policy.
Through her consulting practice and newsletter Some Context, Nicole now brings that same rigor to clients across sectors — helping organizations diagnose gaps, design smarter systems, and lead change with both precision and humanity.
She holds a Master of Arts in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
