Hi! I'm Daniel Sotomayor, a graduate in Audiovisual Communication from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences. I also hold a Master's Degree in Audiovisual Scriptwriting from UNIR and a Diploma in Leadership from MIU City University Miami.
Throughout my professional career of over 7 years, I’ve worked in various areas of audiovisual production, from filming and editing content to cinematography and storytelling. My experience includes working with companies such as the marketing agency La Naranja Media LATAM, where I led the audiovisual department for major brands like Fundación Telefónica, Samsonite and Honda. I’ve also worked as an audiovisual producer for several educational institutions including UCAL, Toulouse Lautrec, CERTUS, Norbert Wiener University, Alcides Carrión Institute and Continental University of Florida. Currently, I work as a Creative Video Editor at TubeScience, where I edit performance-driven videos for social media, focusing on direct-response content that boosts engagement and conversions for world-class brands such as HelloFresh, Hims & Hers, GoodChop, The Pets Table and Noom.
As a filmmaker, I’ve been selected five times at the Spanish festival Jameson Notodofilmfest for short films such as “Nada”, “Cálido Frío”, “Dolor”, “Cicatriz”, and “Los fríos”. The short film Los fríos was nominated for “Best Latin American Short Film” at the 14th edition of the festival. I was also the director of photography for the documentary short “La Película”, directed by Andrea Lovatón, which won awards at international festivals and has been selected in various national and international competitions.
