Mitzy Porras

An integrative biologist with about eight years of experience; her research the impact of pathogens and thermal stress on hosts from the molecular to the community level in natural and managed ecosystems (agriculture). Her projects involve international collaborators, including United Nations-FAO- International Atomic Energy Agency, Argentina, USA, Denmark, Brazil, Colombia, and France. Her outreach activities developed a unique teaching approach, “reviling the errors” as the on-going “Movement Science&Rock: a day of extreme coexistence, the power of diversity! A scientific, cultural activity where scientists meet rock bands to motivate and inspire future musicians and scientists.
