Littleton, Colorado, United States
I build the governance frameworks, operating models, and KPI systems that turn that complexity into clear execution. For my next role, I want to build it — and stay to run it.
Very few leaders operate the way I do — sitting at the intersection of design thinking, front-end customer instinct, and back-end operations. Most people build one of those muscles. I’ve spent 20+ years building all three, because that’s what the work in front of me needed. That combination is where the real leverage is.
I didn’t start in operations. I started in sales. Three banks, including one acquisition, taught me early how organizations survive change. Retail leadership at Best Buy — part of the original Best Buy for Business and Best Buy Mobile teams — and later at REI, where I ran my own store, taught me to own a P&L and lead 120 people with no one to hand the outcome to but me. A detour through real estate (27 houses my first year, against an industry average of 6) sharpened the same instincts: read what people need, build trust fast, close the gap.
Most recently, I led Customer Operations and enterprise transformation for the State of Colorado’s Office of Information Technology — driving Identity & Access Management modernization for 30,000+ users across 18 agencies. That work earned the OIT Innovation Award. The role wrapped as part of a statewide 173-person reduction in force. The work was strong; I’m looking for an organization ready to invest in someone who wants to build and stay.
What I bring:
— Governance and operating model design at enterprise scale
— System transformation and modernization
— Customer Success and customer operations transformation
— Cost optimization and cloud modernization at multi-million-dollar scale
— A track record of walking into complicated environments and creating lasting impact
Open to Director/VP-level roles in transformation, operations, or customer success — ideally somewhere I can put down roots. If you’ve got a situation like that, I’d love to talk.
