Matheus Severo (he/him) is a passionate Brazilian actor, singer, educator and administrator based in Vancouver, BC.
Graduated from the Studio 58 Acting program in 2021, he is honoured to have trained, worked and lived on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations since 2018. Before honing his skills at Studio 58, Matheus studied Economics in Universidade de Brasilia (UnB), Brazil, worked as an intern for Ambev, as a singer on the MS Berlin cruise, and had a thriving musical theatre career which took him all over Brazil and around the world. In 2021, Matheus started his career in film and TV on the Netflix show The Midnight Club. In 2022, he was nominated for Outstanding Performance at the 39th Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards for his work in "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls" by CTYP.
He currently works at the Vancouver Convention Centre in the Operations Department and as a Drama Instructor at Carousel Theatre. Matheus is eager to build his career in North America and give voice to the underrepresented Latinx narratives. Get in touch with Matheus on Instagram: @matheuseveror
