My first professional experience, since my internship was in sales, I took the position with a bit of frustration because my only goal was to get my degree. At that moment, my only motivation was to develop my sales skills. Later, it would be easier to undertake my own business, which I wanted.
Much to my surprise, I turned out to be good at selling. I also enjoyed it a lot because I realized that sales are not what you see in the movies of the typical agent who "does not take a no for an answer." Instead, I understood that sales are about identifying problems, helping solve them, and developing long-term relationships.
After graduating, I founded my first business. I was hoping to accomplish my dream of being a successful entrepreneur, but my first bankruptcy came after a year. Thousands of lessons were learned, but the biggest was that I had unquestionably found what I wanted to do, business and entrepreneurship, regardless of the difficulties.
