Manuel Alejandro Ponce Martínez

I am Alejandro Ponce, I am interested in Data Management, Data Science, Deep Learning and AI. Currently, I am working in a Data Science project in Walmart, in order to predict the sales of the Sam’s clubs based on the previous sales, the inventory and the capacity of the vendors to provide the items. I’m also, leading a data science project, end 2 end, in XE-IPN Canal Once. My team, and me gather the data from different sources, we clean the data, find patterns and then we interpret the results. I have been working on banking projects in Citibanamex for approximately 1 year and a half. I design and provide data management solutions using ETL Ab Initio, Unix/Linux, Oracle/Teradata/SQL server, among others. I am experienced in Python, C++, R and Java, as well and I have a specialization in “Advanced Data Science” with IBM. Moreover, I have worked with other ETL’s such as Pentaho and Microsoft SSIS in a Daimler- Mercedes Benz project. I’ve worked in Furniture Stores Dico using ML Algorithms in IBM Cloud (Watson Studio), PySpark and R language in order to provide arguments for decision-making, thus increasing sales and determine the best location for their branch offices. I tutor undergraduates at Duke University and some other colleges, in Data Science, Econometrics and programming. On the other hand, I teach mathematics at the Educational Institution "Escuelas Pías". Additionally, as a mathematician I have logical and analytical thinking skills to provide creative solutions to complex problems.
