I believe in 'Ikigai', a Japanese concept which means 'a reason for being'. When you have worked with different industries, functions and managers, you get to learn so many things, just by observation, if you are ready to unlearn and then learn anew. In my pharmaceutical experience I learnt disciplined visits, client communication, follow ups and building relationships. In my BPO IBM experience, I learnt so much about US culture, about world's best companies such as Amazon and United Airlines. Above all, how can one quickly transform a semi-skilled fresher into an all-rounded professional by continuous training-evaluation-retraining into various aspects required for the job, it helped when I was allocated reportees. I realized that when one is selected for a job its because of his/her potential but then the manager can quickly teach the ropes of the business. In my experience with a Product-based Technology company, I learnt how skilled and learned one needs to be about the product, the industry standards and how to leverage technology to automate the tedious manual paper-based processes. I also learnt passion from the CEO/CTO of the company and importance of on-time delivery. We had some 600 reports in the system and I knew all of them, infact through them I learnt what a CEO , an HOD, a manager and an executive want in the reports. In my 2nd technology Mobile App and service based company; I learnt the power of presentation. I also got to work on various functions such as Business Analysis, Content writing, Pre-Sales, Research & Strategy and UI/UX. This really helped me understand the importance and expectations from each function. In my current company, I got the opportunity to practice all that I had learnt earlier. * From creation of interactive SOPs to deliver trainings and induction. * From interviewing to training my reportees and review their work. * From requirement gathering to ensuring on-time quality delivery.
