Sourcing is about product. Buying is about commercial acumen and the relationships to back it up. My career has been built on refusing to choose between them.
I began at Christie's, among fine art, decorative objects and major private estates, where I learned to read an object long before I learned to price one. E-commerce buying and merchandising at SUNO followed, then a decade running my own sourcing agency across European markets, and most recently the building of Enky's procurement function from the ground up, alongside buying, curation and brand partnerships across its B2B and B2C platforms.
Curation is where the two halves of the work meet. An assortment has to hold together as a point of view and perform commercially, and the decisions that carry it there are one and the same: which brands to bring in, which pieces earn their place, what a client will genuinely pay for.
My buying experience moves between two markets that ask for very different things. New and contract furniture, for commercial and hospitality clients, runs on volume, speed and supplier scale. Secondhand and vintage runs on judgment, taste and the networks built patiently over years. I have spent my career in both, which is less common than it sounds.
Brand partnerships, assortment strategy, vendor negotiation, market scouting, omnichannel planning: I bring the same weight to the creative side of the work as to the commercial one, and the vendors I meet tend to become long-term partners rather than transactions.
Paris-based, internationally networked, fluent in home, design, luxury, lifestyle and the circular economy.
