Hello, world! It all began for me two years ago. My journey into Data Science took off. After taking several online courses in Python, Data Science, SQL, and data visualization I can confidently say I am well-versed in python as a programming language. Coming from a traditional STEM background, having studied Computer Science and worked for two years as a Business Development officer and a year and a half as a Financial Advisor in the investment banking and insurance industry. However, these roles provided useful experiences in using visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel to present data to tell a compelling story. I gained a foundation in the principles associated with data analysis at a time when I barely had any idea what Data Science was. In the year 2020, while I was looking for a career change and with the world at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, I enrolled to study Cloud Computing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and certified as a Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP). Thereafter, I landed a spot as a Data Analytics Trainee at GetInnotized Limited, a start-up tech company Azubi Africa in Accra, Ghana. Over the last year, my experience at GetInnotized Limited significantly helped me drive my career in this space. I have worked as a Career Center guide, training learners in soft skills development and interview preparation. Alongside, I have gained some real experience in data analysis while working on data-intensive projects with real-world clients. Given how well-versed I am in Linux, Data Analysis and the python programming language, my ambition is to streamline my career into the field of Data Science. I am open to exploring various options available.
