I build full-stack web applications, and increasingly, AI-powered ones. At IANS Research, I contribute to Ask IANS, a RAG-based search tool (Azure OpenAI) that lets clients ask cybersecurity questions in plain language and get answers grounded in our research library, with source citations. My part in it has been implementing frontend specs and modifying the backend prompt logic to control response format and reduce hallucinations. I also worked with my manager to spot a bottleneck in our publishing process, then built the fix myself: a Python automation using the Claude Opus API that cut draft-generation time by about 90%.
My path here wasn't conventional. I spent 5+ years in B2B technology sales at IBM, twice earning the Hundred Percent Club award for exceeding annual quotas, before retraining as a developer through an intensive full-stack bootcamp. That background means I don't just write code. I understand what clients need, how to communicate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders, and how to ship things that actually solve business problems.
What I bring:
- Full-stack development: React, JavaScript, Node.js, Express, SQL (brief prior exposure to TypeScript, not a current strength)
- Hands-on AI/LLM work: Azure OpenAI, Claude, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and an AI-assisted development workflow using Claude and Cursor daily
- 5+ years of client-facing experience: discovery, demos, relationship management
- A sales-honed instinct for what actually matters to the business, not just the code
