I've spent most of my career as a leader in Human Capital/Talent Acquisition. Helping to facilitate new careers is incredibly fulfilling. Strong resumes and LinkedIn profiles make a difference in moving candidates to the next level. That's why my team and I focus our efforts on those who need help shifting careers or getting back to work. We help our clients realize their value and give them the confidence to ask for higher salaries. I've personally shared my recruitment knowledge countless times in order to help one's resume get noticed. I share what not to include, and why. I update LI profiles to get the attention of recruiters and conduct mock interviews with immediate and valuable feedback to make for stronger outcomes.
On Strengths Finder 2.0 (Gallup Strengths) my primary attribute is called "Individualization". It is described as “being intrigued by the unique qualities of each person” and having a knack for identifying a person's characteristics and strengths; plus the ability to bring out their best. In my case, highlighting those strengths on their resumes and profiles, as well as helping them tell their best story in an interview setting.
When I'm not at work I am raising my daughters to use their unique gifts. I do pro-bono work coaching/ speaking to students, resume preparation for women who have experienced domestic violence, I'm a big sister through Big Brothers, Big Sisters (since 1993), and I regularly provide services and facilitate donations to assist refugee families and underserved children in my community. I'm also a CASA, a court-appointed special advocate working with some pretty awesome foster kids.
If you ever want to talk about how you can use your talents in your career or to make a difference for others, let's connect.
