An electronic engineer ends up studying for a Ph.D. and then co-founding and leading a technology-based company... Ten years ago, I started my career as a developer of web apps and mobile applications under what we believed were agile methodologies. Then this curious engineer, who never wants to sit still, and always wants to acquire new knowledge, won a scholarship to study for a master's degree and a Ph.D. So how could I miss this opportunity to improve my professional profile? During the last seven years, I have worked conceptualizing, formulating, submitting, leading, and executing software engineering projects for the health and energy sectors, under alliances between industry, academia, and the government. Recently, I co-founded a startup intended to commercialize cutting-edge solutions and emerging technologies for the energy sector. This experience has led me to lead a multidisciplinary team working towards a product that will reduce the energy bills in our houses and companies.
