Hi there, my name is Juan. I used to work as a geotechnical engineer in a big mining company. But I was not feeling in the "right place" and decided to change my professional life toward software development. So I quit my mining job and studied and practiced software development in Microverse (A great Bootcamp based on the UUSS), where I learned a lot about the basics in addition to a remote work environment and pair-programming with people from all over the world. Change my professional background was not easy but in 2021 I got my first job as a software developer in Medellin Colombia and currently, I am working for the main social network for physicians and health area workers in the UUSS, Doximity, where I have improved mainly my Rails knowledge, CI/CD methods, test Automation, and agile methodologies for development.
