We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Job Cost Coordinator to support the financial operations of our growing carpentry business. This role will focus on day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and tracking job costs to ensure project profitability. Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping (QuickBooks Online):
- Record and categorize all financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Send invoices and track client payments.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Generate basic monthly financial reports.

Payroll & Time Tracking:
- Track subcontractor hours and labor costs per project.
- Coordinate 1099 contractor payments using Elite Payroll (or similar).

Job Cost & Project Financial Tracking:
- Monitor project-level costs: labor, materials, subs.
- Compare estimated versus actual costs.
- Prepare simple job profitability reports.

Cash Flow & Financial Maintenance:
- Track incoming payments and upcoming expenses.
- Maintain a weekly cash flow snapshot.

Vendor & Inventory Coordination:
- Track material purchases per job.
- Monitor recurring materials and basic inventory levels.
- Follow up with vendors and ensure payment terms are met.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in construction or service trades).
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel\/Google Sheets.
- Experience with job costing and project-based tracking.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Work Details:
- Remote position.
- Part-time or full-time depending on availability and performance.
- Must be available during U.S. business hours (Pacific or Mountain Time preferred).
