I am a senior equity executive and founder of The Pivotal Paradigm Project, dedicated to creating inclusive spaces and advancing collective liberation. With over ten years of experience across various sectors, including education, non-profit and for-profit, I have developed a unique approach to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). My method combines research, practice, and coaching. I hold an M.Ed in Diversity and Equity from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and have received awards for the DEIB lens I have brought to various organizations.
My most recent position was as Executive Director for Teach For America Buffalo, where I led the region through a strategic shift to become an alumni innovation region. This required an interactive, inclusive process to define the vision, anchored in an analysis of local progress and opportunities and grounded in the perspectives of those most impacted by educational inequity. I also established and maintained relationships with a diverse group of individual, foundation, and corporate supporters, with a focus on developing new partnerships for alumni-forward strategic direction. Additionally, I managed and expanded a diverse regional board and led a team that designed and executed a strategic plan. As a visionary servant leader, I seek out opportunities that combine equitable outcomes with strategic thinking in the realms of education, non-profit, and for-profit organizations.
