Delivery Leader | Founder | Agile Coach | Turning Engineering Teams into High-Throughput Shipping Machines
Loveland, Colorado, United States
The teams that ship well aren't the ones with the cleanest Jira boards. They're the ones where people trust each other, know what they're building, and have someone in their corner clearing the path. Process is downstream of all of that. Most agile work gets this backwards, optimizing ceremonies while the actual blockers sit untouched in the room nobody wants to walk into. That room is my office. I've not once seen a healthy team because of an on-track Gantt chart, optimized process workflow, or a documented RACI. Those things are great, but they don't move the needle. I've coached engineering teams across very different worlds. From large enterprise to early stage startups, the contexts couldn't be more different, but the pattern holds: teams stall on human things long before they stall on technical ones. Misaligned expectations. Unspoken disagreements. A leader who needs a thought partner more than another framework. The coach who sees that and acts on it is the one who's worth keeping around. I'm also a builder, an owner, and a manager. I've sat in every seat I now coach from. I write code, design systems, and ship side projects nobody asked for on nights and weekends. The kind that mostly teach me things rather than make me money. Meaning I have low tolerance for process theater and high respect for the craft of the people I work with. Every practice should earn its seat and every meeting should justify the hour. If a ritual isn't serving the team, it's gone. I've killed at least half as many standups as I've started. What I care about: leaders who can hold complexity without flinching, teams that argue well and ship together, and the hard and unglamorous work of making both of those things possible. I'm allergic to the phrase "best practice." Ask me why sometime. Off the clock: morning miles with my dog, evenings under a barbell or over a pool table with friends, building AI fluency, writing, and travel when the calendar allows. Currently building Imua Systems, a delivery intelligence practice for engineering orgs, and open to senior delivery or coaching roles where the work is real.
