I am a Swahili Language Specialist, Subtitle Editor, and Translator with proven experience in translation, localization, and media editing. Currently, I work with HilalPlay, where I translate and edit subtitle files for TV shows, movies, and trailers, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and quality control. My role also involves adapting Turkish TV show scripts for international audiences and coordinating QC processes to maintain consistency and excellence.Beyond HilalPlay, I have worked with The Guardian Limited (IPP Media) as a translator and editor, where I delivered accurate and engaging stories, captions, and headlines under tight deadlines while upholding journalistic ethics. Since 2019, I have also freelanced as a translator, editor, and proofreader, supporting diverse clients in producing clear, impactful, and high-quality Swahili content.I hold a BA in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Dodoma, complemented by Project Management certification from the Water Development and Management Institute.
