I'm an individual contributor focused on JavaScript, React, React Native, and Node over the last years. I founded No office location LLC in November, 2021 in the US. What is No office location LLC? Basically is my personal brand, is Gerardo Cordero legally able to pay taxes in the US, legally able charge customers, companies in US and abroad. (Solo Owner) What I want to achieve with No office location LLC? I want to keep being an individual contributor, but independent from outsourcing and staff companies, to be directly paid what is fair according to my experience, to have my own clients, build great products, and be a partner more than 'just a developer' in the product roadmap and product creation process, and I want to chose my clients, clients that understand what involves software development and software iteration. I graduated as software technician in 2009, dark times. Luckily now CSS has grid, flexbox, JavaScript evolved, and I went from doing C, Pascal, Java, to JavaScript full time, now TypeScript. If you are starting now things like UML, SQL, NoSQL, SOLID are stable concepts to learn, everything else will change for good. The developer experience and developer happiness are really important to me. The people and the place I'm looking to work is a place for Humans, where mistakes are solved and the knowledge of the solution is shared across the team via Code Reviews, a place where we have time to test our code and that time is valuable for the leaders and owners, a team that cares as much for UX as for developer experience, accessibility, and data.
