Software Engineer at #OpenToWork
Hatfield, Pennsylvania, United States
I am a software engineer, specializing in doing whatever needs to be done to get the job done. For the last 23 years, I have developed, maintained, and enhanced console apps, scripts, APIs, and UIs using C, C++, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, VB.Net, Python, Go, and Angular programming languages.
In my most recent position as software developer at EMS LINQ, I was hands on in all stages of the software development cycle, from planning and design to testing and deployment. No two days were the same for me; my tasks may involve analyzing algorithms, altering code, fixing bugs, brainstorming ideas, performing data fixes, or integrating new systems. I’ve fixed software issues which vexed even the most seasoned engineers, improved efficiencies of both code and processes, wrangled overdue projects to completion, and eliminated backlogs.
Something I love about software development is the opportunity to work with and support people from a wide range of disciplines. In the software development lifecycle, collaborating with diverse teams and departments is a thrill for me—a true people person who thrives on forging connections with like-minded professionals united by a common goal.
Some of the projects to which I have contributed in my career include:
- PC-Lint/FlexeLint, a static analysis tool for C/C++
- PC-lint Plus, a revamped version of PC-Lint
- SRC Solution’s Registration Gateway, a paperless student registration and form solution made for K-12 schools
- EMS LINQ’s Titan, the nation’s premier school nutrition solution
- EMS LINQ’s LinqConnect, a fast, easy-to-use, and secure online payment platform
