Software engineer with experience across a broad variety of technology stacks and the ability to "go deep" where necessary to meet product and engineering objectives/requirements. My career has been defined by a tendency to quickly become a subject matter expert in a given technical domain or code base and to contribute meaningfully to planning and estimation activities alongside more senior technical contributors and managers. My key strengths as an engineer include: ● A strong belief in the value of communication, humility, and constructive conflict in teamwork settings. ● An ability to adapt, learn, and grow in response to feedback and changing conditions. ● Strong work ethic with the ability to tune out distractions, filter out unimportant or non-urgent tasks, and focus intently to help my team and organization to achieve a common goal. In the past I have specialized in: ● building Linux kernels and filesystems for embedded systems ● maintaining and optimizing large-scale CI/CD systems that served dozens of engineering teams, hundreds of individual projects, and on the order of tens of thousands of CI builds per day ● refactoring legacy code bases (Python, Golang, Bash) for improved performance, extensibility, testability, usability, or reliability ● proposing and leading team initiatives in the areas of configuration management, test & release automation, forward-looking software designs, and improvements to agile processes
